Young Professionals' Forum for International Development Rome, Italy

About us

Rome

The Young Professionals Forum for International Development (YouFID) is a newly created forum for young professionals working in international development and living in Rome. Our goal is to organise monthly events (professional and social) and build a strong network!

Target audience
YouFID targets employees and interns from the three UN Rome-based agencies who are seeking to build a career in international development and contribute to the next generation of ideas. This includes (but is not exclusive to) APOs/JPOs, Junior Professionals, consultants, interns and volunteers.

Progressive thinking for the next generation
YouFID is building a network of young professionals in Rome who meet on a regular basis to share and discuss experiences, ideas and innovations related to international development issues. The forum provides a platform on which to inspire and engage its members in fruitful discussions with experienced and/or well-known personalities from the world of international development.

Get involved
This is an open platform where anyone can contribute skills and ideas. As the network of members grows, so does the vision. So, we are keen to hear your suggestions for developing YouFID’s activities. They can be as simple or grand as your imagination desires, whether it’s:

– Hosting charity events
– Presentations by well-known and interesting personalities
– TED talks
– Social events
– Creating a sports team
– Developing areas of the website
– Helping others settle in Rome
– Meeting others with similar interests

Please share this with your FAO, WFP and Ifad colleagues and join our Facebook site to receive the latest updates!
